It&#8217;s an expression we can all agree with. But if it remains simply a slogan, we run the risk of <strong>asking superficial questions<\/strong> about our people. That&#8217;s where people analytics comes in. <strong>Employees are not just professionals<\/strong>: they also bring to work their private lives and transitions that they&#8217;re going through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we consider this, it&#8217;s important for companies to make the switch from <strong>Employee experience to Life experience<\/strong>, within the context of <strong>caring leadership<\/strong> that considers its people&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/lifeed.io\/en\/2020\/07\/20\/multime-best-version-self\/\"><strong>diverse identity dimensions<\/strong><\/a>. These dimensions may include <strong>caregiving roles<\/strong> (being a parent, or caring for elderly or disabled relatives) and other <strong>life experiences<\/strong> (changing house or job) that reveal <a href=\"https:\/\/lifeed.io\/en\/2020\/08\/26\/not-enough-hours-in-the-day-heres-how-to-optimise-your-time\/\"><strong>transferable skills that can also be applied at work<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lifeed.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/PROFESSIONISTA-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25769\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>People Analytics: Big data meets Small data<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to get to know your employees as people, and not just professionals, you need to working with <strong>People Analytics.<\/strong> It&#8217;s about considering&nbsp;all of a person&#8217;s dimensions to develop <strong>tailored growth plans that are more effective.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Companies usually measure elements such as wellbeing levels, engagement and productivity. They tell us &#8216;what&#8217; we can see of our people at work, but they&#8217;re only the tip of the iceberg. Using this metaphor, those elements can be likened to marketing&#8217;s <strong>Big Data<\/strong>. The &#8216;why&#8217; looks at <strong>the reasons behind<\/strong> the elements that are traditionally measured (and evaluated).
